Feature #36
open
Secrets stored in Factory should be hidden
Added by Emmanuel Jubera [SAFT] almost 2 years ago.
Updated 10 months ago.
Affects Version/s:
armel-1.0.4
Description
Secrets (credentials, passwords, tokens...) shouldn't be displayed by the Factory, at least not entirely.
Currently the "user:password" value, used to access remotely stored sources, is displayed on the application settings tab.
- Assignee changed from Vincent Rubiolo to Sebastien Douheret [IoT.bzh]
- Assignee changed from Sebastien Douheret [IoT.bzh] to Elisa Castro
- Priority changed from Normal to Low
- Target version set to armel-1.2
Please find hereafter more details about how we see this feature:
There is no need to store the secrets on a per application basis, having the storage at project level will be fine.
The storage has to be independent from the user.
- Status changed from New to Resolved
- Fix Version/s armel-1.2 added
- % Done changed from 0 to 100
- Priority changed from Low to Normal
We would like to have a secrets management closer to what gitlab offers, that is variable based (to be discussed).
During our last meeting, Sebastien pointed out something similar is already planned for internal needs.
- Status changed from Resolved to In Progress
- % Done changed from 100 to 50
- Target version deleted (
armel-1.2)
Partially fixed in armel-1.2 but new features will be added in a next release of redpesk factory to support more "complex" secrets.
At the time of writing, there is no release date defined for this feature because we need to deeper investigate and select the right solution.
